Inspire Me: Olivia Palermo

With media playing such a huge factor in fashion nowadays, some of the most inspiring style icons are celebrities. We see their daring style choices on the red carpet, fashion events, magazines, TV, etc. I love watching to see what my favorite style icons are going to wear next! Therefore, I decided to start writing about style icons that I find most inspiring to my wardrobe.

For the first article, I chose to write about my all time style-inspiration Olivia Palermo. I swear I’ve never seen her in an outfit I haven’t liked. Olivia first came into the public eye on The Hills spinoff The City. She’s had numerous jobs working for leading fashion companies, such as Diane Von Furstenburg and Elle Magazine. She’s even been the face of Oscar de la Renta’s Outnet Collection and brand ambassador of the Maasai Project for Pikolinos.

Olivia Palermo is always dressed to the nines whether she’s strolling the streets of New York with fiancé Johannes Huebl or on the red carpet. These are a few of my favorite looks Olivia wore:

This look is from Milan Fashion Week. I love the fur and pattern detail on this coat. She styled it to perfection with simple black pants and accessories.

Olivia wore this to the Cannes Film Festival in France. The shimmery gold material looks stunning on the red carpet. I also                  love how she added the jacket for a different, fashionable touch.

This look is perfect for spring. Olivia wore this to the Rachel Zoe runway show. The fit and flare skirt is fun, girly, and flattering. I found a similar one at Akira that I am dying to wear when the weather is warm enough. See here.

Jumpsuits are so big for spring. I love how Olivia styled it with an edgy varsity bomber jacket. Jumpsuits are always something I’ve been nervous about wearing only being 5’4, but Olivia really owns the look despite her petite stature.

I could go on and on about all her fabulous looks, but I’ll stop here. Get her look here:
