The Haul: Lower Manhattan

In opposition to my last NYC trip, this year I had the opportunity to explore more of lower Manhattan. I absolutely loved experiencing the unique personalities of each neighborhood. In Chelsea, we went into a urban chic store called Brooklyn Industries. I scored a little black dress perfect for almost any occasion. I’m clearly a huge fan of thrifting lately, and Beacon’s Closet in Greenwich was one of the best thrift shops I’ve ever been in. They had fabulous designers from multiple decades and almost everything in the store was under $50. It’s definitely a must if you’re in the area. I bought a RD Style sweater originally about $75 for $18, a Leifsdottir vest worth about $125 for $25, a beautiful cashmere sweater from Queue, and pale pink coat perfect for Spring from Agnes B originally priced around $350 for $45.10433113_10203830436705700_8742888351654341850_n

Statement Sweater

Out of all my thrifting trips, this sweater has been one of my favorite finds. I picked up this Rehab sweater for $18, originally priced around $70. It’s truly a unique garment, which has been fun to incorporate into my wardrobe. The sweater is definitely an eye catching statement piece but extremely comfortable. I can easy pair it with simple leggings and leather boots to create a well put together outfit. Add some red lipstick and the look is complete.
