Recently, it seems as though high waisted denim shorts have become the must have summer staple in every girls wardrobe. They’re casual, fun, and can give a laid back vibe to any outfit. A different take on styling them is with an item that has a contrasting feel. This sheer white button up is something I often wear with more formal pieces. This takes distressed shorts normally worn to the beach or something laid back with friends, to an appropriate outfit for a casual day out on the town. For details, I added chunky gold jewelry and simple nude heel.

Hands down, one of the biggest trends of the season has been faux fur. Over the past year, the trend has been rapidly increasing in popularity, but now it’s bigger than ever. Fur was seen on nearly every fall runway this year, from Alexander McQueen to Tom Ford. In the past, fur was often seen as overly eccentric and hard to style. One of the easiest ways to incorporate fur into your wardrobe is with a fur vest. Fall is all about layering, so adding this over a pair of leggings, jeans, or even a summery dress to give it a fall vibe is easily achievable. Another great way to wear fur in the colder months is in a tasteful coat, scarf, or gloves. It always makes for a unique and chic statement piece.

Just like the average girl, I always get sick of jeans. Although they’re arguably classic, they’re usually far from comfortable and overdone. I like being able to have other options to change up my look besides just wearing a skirt rather than jeans. Over the past year, I’ve been experimenting with cigarette pants, palazzos, and harem pants and they’ve definitely been a worthwhile investment to my wardrobe. They’re a variety of silhouettes, so it’s been a great way to take advantage of other items in my closet to pair with them. But definitely the most important benefit of harems are how comfortable they are! They’re not restricting like jeans and cigarette pants, but just as comfortable as your favorite pair of yoga pants. Comfort and fashion; the ultimate duo. I styled these cotton harems with a white crop top, oxblood leather jacket, and some of my favorite chunky, gold jewelry. Try pairing them with a cropped sweater and pair of booties for the colder weather!
